Family Fish Chowder

Ingredients
  Bacon slices 5 , diced
  Onion 1 Large, diced
  Carrot 1 , diced
  Celery stalk 1 , diced
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Haddock 1 Pound, cut in bite-size chunks
  Diced peeled potatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Milk 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Canned creamed corn 14 Ounce (1 can, 398 ml)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper To Taste
  Bacon bits/Chopped green onions /chives 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

In large saucepan, cook bacon until golden; drain off excess fat. Add onion, carrot and celery; cook until softened. Add water, fish and potatoes; cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork and potatoes are tender. Add milk, corn, salt, and pepper to taste; heat through but do not boil. Garnish with bacon bits, onions or chives if desired.
