Smoky Corn Chowder
|Chopped yellow onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Salt||1 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Milk||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Canned whole kernel corn||17 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Smoked sausage links||6 Ounce, sliced (4 Pieces, 1 Package)|
|Canned lima beans||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender but not brown.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Add milk all at once.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly, about 1 minute.
Stir in corn, sausage and lima beans.
Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes.
