|Chicken broth cubes||2|
|Boiling water||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Turnips||3 Cup (48 tbs), minced|
|Potatoes||2 , peeled, diced|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Shallots||2 , chopped|
|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Dilute broth cubes in water.
Add turnip and potatoes.
Bring to a boil.
Over low heat, simmer 15 minutes.
In a saucepan, melt butter.
Saute onion and shallots 4 minutes.
Sprinkle with flour.
Mix until well blended.
Slowly fold in milk, stirring constantly.
Simmer 10 minutes until mixture thickens.
Stir into vegetables, mixing until smooth.
