Herbed Tomato Pork Chops and Stuffing
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Boneless pork chops||4 (1/2 Inch Thick)|
|Canned stewed tomatoes||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Green bell pepper||1 Medium, chopped|
|Dried oregano leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Chicken stuffing mix||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Stuffing Mix For Chicken In The Canister)|
|Shredded mozzarella cheese||4 Ounce, divided|
HEAT oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chops; brown on both sides.
STIR in tomatoes, tomato sauce, green pepper, oregano and ground pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until chops are cooked through. Remove chops from skillet.
STIR Stuffing Mix Pouch and 1/2 cup of the cheese into skillet. Return chops to skillet. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese; cover. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
