Chocolate Bark Star
|Semi-sweet chocolate||1 Pound|
|Unsalted butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg yolks||2 , lightly beaten|
|Liqueur/Almond / orange / coffee||1 Tablespoon|
|Pecan halves||3 Ounce|
Melt chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler over hot water.
Stir in egg yolks and liqueur.
Pour mixture into a buttered 8-inch star mold.
Arrange nuts on top of chocolate in an even layer.
Place the glaceed cherry in the center and, if desired, fill in any spaces with pieces of candied fruit.
Let the candy harden before unmolding.
