Mazurkas With Chocolate Topping

Mazurkas with chocoloate topping are lovely little square desserts that can be made with either plain or almond mazurkas. Topped with a chocolate and egg mix with added vanilla and almonds, the chocolate mazurkas are a regular at our place for snackt little desserts that I love to serve in baskets.
Ingredients
  Eggs 4
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Unsweetened chocolate 8 Ounce, grated (1 Package)
  Flour 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chopped blanched almonds 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
Directions

Prepare and bake mazurkas as directed.
Do not cut into squares.
Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla extract until fluffy.
Add chocolate; beat until well mixed.
Beat in flour, salt, and almonds.
Spread chocolate mixture over baked mazurkas.
Bake at 250°F 5 to 7 minutes, or until topping is set.
Cool.
Cut into 2 inch squares.
