Yuletide Chocolate Dish
|Fine vanilla wafer crumbs||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Melted butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sifted powdered sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fully ripe bananas||1 , mashed|
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sliced maraschino cherries||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Mix together crumbs and melted butter.
Reserve 2 tbs. for top.
Press remainder in bottom of oblong pan 13" x 9".
Cream together 1/2 cup butter and powdered sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Spread over crumbs.
Combine 1/4 cup sugar, cocoa and cream, whip.
Fold in nuts and fruit, pile atop mixture in pan.
Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top.
Chill overnight or freeze.
Defrost couple hours ahead of time.
Best if made night before!
