Chocolate Chip Cookies
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Sifted flour||1 1⁄8 Cup (18 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Hot water||1 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chocolate bits||6 Ounce (1 package)|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1 Preheat the oven to 375° F.
2 Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
3 In a bowl, cream the butter.
4 Blend in the granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
5 Beat in the egg.
6 In another bowl, sift together the flour, salt and baking soda.
7 Gradually work into the butter mixture.
8 Stir in the hot water, vanilla, chocolate bits and nuts.
9 On to the prepared cookie sheet, drop by the teaspoon.
10 Bake for 10 minutes or until browned.
11 Serve as desired. This one is specially a hit with the kids.
