Simple Chocolate Mousse
|Semi-sweet chocolate bits||8 Ounce|
|Rum flavoring/Vanilla flavoring||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Butter||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Heavy whipping cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (To Garnish)|
1 In a small pan, melt the chocolate and water together.
2 Stir in the rum flavoring and butter.
3 Blend in the egg yolks, one at a time.
4 In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff.
5 Gradually fold the chocolate mixture into the egg whites with a rubber spatula.
6 Mix well and, pour into small pots or a glass bowl.
7 Cover and place in the refrigerator to chill overnight.
8 Decorate with a rosette of whipped cream piped on top.
