Chocolate Chip Pudding
|Stale cake cubes||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) (Any Flavor)|
|Eggs||2 , lightly beaten|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs), scalded|
|Coarsely chopped pecans/Walnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Semi-sweet chocolate bits||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Light cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Put cake in a lightly buttered 2-quart casserole; mix together all remaining ingredients except chocolate bits and cream, pour over cake, and mix lightly.
Bake, uncovered, 30-35 minutes until barely firm.
Sprinkle chocolate bits over surface and bake, uncovered, 10 minutes longer until pudding is firm and chocolate melted.
Serve hot, topped, if you like, with cream.
