Chocolate Chip Pudding

Ingredients
  Stale cake cubes 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) (Any Flavor)
  Eggs 2 , lightly beaten
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs), scalded
  Coarsely chopped pecans/Walnuts 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Semi-sweet chocolate bits 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Light cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F.
Put cake in a lightly buttered 2-quart casserole; mix together all remaining ingredients except chocolate bits and cream, pour over cake, and mix lightly.
Bake, uncovered, 30-35 minutes until barely firm.
Sprinkle chocolate bits over surface and bake, uncovered, 10 minutes longer until pudding is firm and chocolate melted.
Serve hot, topped, if you like, with cream.
