Crunchy Chocolate Chip Shortbread Drops
|Butter stick||8 Ounce, softened (2 Sticks)|
|Powdered sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Cake flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Semisweet chocolate chips||6 Ounce|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1. Preheat oven to 300°F. In a medium bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Beat in vanilla.
2. Add flour mixed with baking powder and salt and beat until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased foil- or parchment-lined cookie sheets. Press each gently to flatten. Bake 35 to 40 minutes, until golden. Remove to a rack and let cool completely.
