Chocolate Chip Nutty Oatdrops
|Butter stick||6 Ounce, softened (1 1/2 Sticks)|
|Firmly packed dark brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Rolled oats||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Semisweet chocolate chips||6 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Flaked coconut||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), toasted|
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Add oatmeal mixed into flour, baking powder, and salt and stir until well blended. Mix in chocolate chips and coconut.
2. Place golf ball-sized rounds 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until browned around edges. Let stand 2 minutes on cookie sheets, then remove to a rack and let cool completely.
