Hot Chocolate Trifle
|Chocolate cake||1⁄2 , baked|
|Dark chocolate pudding mix||3 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Package, Not Instant)|
|Espresso coffee/Double strength coffee||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), cooled|
|Half and half||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Creme de cocoa||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chocolate syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Whipped cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Peanuts||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
Divide cake between four heat-proof cups.
In a heavy saucepan combine pudding mix, espresso, Half and Half, Creme de Cocoa and chocolate syrup.
Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until bubbling all over.
Divide hot pudding between cups.
Immediately top with piles of whipped cream, a dusting of cinnamon, and a sprinkle of chopped peanuts.
