Cherry Rum Balls

  Corn flakes/1 3/4 cups corn flakes crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sweetened condensed milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Rum flavoring 1 Teaspoon
  Semi-sweet chocolate morsels 6 Ounce (1 Cup)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Candied cherries 36
  Confectioners sugar 1 Tablespoon

1. If using Corn Flakes, crush into fine crumbs.
2. Combine Corn Flake Crumbs, milk, salt and flavoring in medium size bowl. Let stand until most of moisture is absorbed.
3. Melt chocolate morsels and butter together over hot, but not boiling water or over very low heat, stirring constantly. Stir into Corn Flake Crumbs mixture until well combined. Chill 10 minutes.
4. Mold a level tablespoonful of mixture around each cherry. Roll balls in confectioners sugar; cover tightly and refrigerate for 24 hours. Recoat balls with confectioners sugar before serving, if desired.
