Choco Mallow Cookies
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Flour||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Cocoa||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Marshmallows||18 , cut in half|
|Powdered sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Soft butter/Margarine||3 Tablespoon|
|Canned milk/Light cream||5 Tablespoon|
Cream shortening and sugar; beat in egg, vanilla and milk.
Sift dry ingredients together, then stir into creamed mixture.
Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and press 1/2 marshmallow, cut side down, into each cookie.
Return to oven for 2 minutes, then remove and cool.
Frost with cocoa icing.
Cocoa Icing: Combine all ingredients with enough milk to make a spreading consistency.
Beat until smooth.
