Chocolate Nut Chews
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cocoa||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Evaporated milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Peanut butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Quick cooking oats||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (uncooked)|
|Pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
Combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in a medium weight skillet or saucepan.
Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches a slow boil.
Continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
Add vanilla, oats and pecans.
Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
