Chocolate Cherry Nougat
|Nougat||12 Ounce (300 Gram)|
|Semisweet chocolate||4 Ounce|
|Sliced almonds||100 Gram (1 Cup)|
|Chopped pistachio nuts||40 Gram (1/4 Cup)|
|Chopped candied lemon peel||50 Gram (1/3 Cup)|
|Chopped candied cherries||100 Gram, coarsely chopped (1/2 Cup)|
|Cherry brandy||2 Teaspoon|
|Unsweetened chocolate||8 Ounce (200 Gram)|
Line an 8-1/2x4-1/2-inch (22x11-cm) loaf pan with foil.
Melt nougat and semisweet chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
Stir almonds, pistachios, candied peel and cherries and cherry brandy into chocolate mixture.
Put mixture into prepared loaf pan; smooth the surface.
Refrigerate until set.
Melt unsweetened chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
Remove chocolate nougat from pan when set; strip off foil.
Coat nougat with melted chocolate.
Cut nougat into 1/4-inch (5-mm) slices before serving.
