Chocolate Cherry Nougat

Ingredients
  Nougat 12 Ounce (300 Gram)
  Semisweet chocolate 4 Ounce
  Sliced almonds 100 Gram (1 Cup)
  Chopped pistachio nuts 40 Gram (1/4 Cup)
  Chopped candied lemon peel 50 Gram (1/3 Cup)
  Chopped candied cherries 100 Gram, coarsely chopped (1/2 Cup)
  Cherry brandy 2 Teaspoon
  Unsweetened chocolate 8 Ounce (200 Gram)
Directions

Line an 8-1/2x4-1/2-inch (22x11-cm) loaf pan with foil.
Melt nougat and semisweet chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
Stir almonds, pistachios, candied peel and cherries and cherry brandy into chocolate mixture.
Put mixture into prepared loaf pan; smooth the surface.
Refrigerate until set.
Melt unsweetened chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
Remove chocolate nougat from pan when set; strip off foil.
Coat nougat with melted chocolate.
Let set.
Cut nougat into 1/4-inch (5-mm) slices before serving.
