Chocolate Crunch Cookies
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Chocolate-coated coconut candy bars,||5 Ounce, chilled and coarsely diced|
Cream together shortening and sugars.
Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; beat till fluffy.
Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts; gently fold in candy.
Drop from tablespoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. (Or, chill dough 30 minutes; roll into 1-inch balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet; bake 12 to 14 minutes.) Cool on racks.
