Old Fashioned Hot Chocolate

Who doesn't love home-made chocolates and of course the old fashioned hot chocolate? Here is one old fashioned hot chocolate recipe which will make all the loving hearts at your home happy. Yummy indeed!
  Boiling water 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Milk 1 Quart
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Unsweetened chocolate 2 Ounce (2 Squares, 1 Ounce Each)
  Salt 1 Pinch

Place chocolate in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts.
Gradually add 1 1/3 cups boiling water, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; set aside.
Heat milk in a heavy saucepan just until thoroughly heated (do not boil).
Stir in sugar and salt; add chocolate mixture, stirring well.
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Top with marshmallows or whipped cream, if desired.
