Chocolate Chip Scotch Bars
|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), softened|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Semisweet chocolate morsels||6 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Butterscotch morsels||6 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cream shortening and butter; gradually add sugar, beating at low speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Add remaining ingredients, and mix well.
Pour into an ungreased 13-x 9- x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cut into 2- x 1-inch bars.
