Chocolate Mint Sauce
|Unsweetened chocolate square||1 Ounce (About 3 Pieces)|
|Water||Cup (0 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Light cream/Undiluted evaporated milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Peppermint extract||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
Place chocolate and water in a deep, 1 1/2 quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole.
Heat, uncovered, on full power 45 seconds or until chocolate is melted.
Stir to biend chocolate and water.
Add sugar, corn syrup and salt.
Heat, uncovered, on roast for 11 minutes or until a candy thermometer reaches 240°F.
Gradually blend in cream and flavoring.
