In a large bowl add cookie mix, softened butter, egg and chips. Mix well and place 1 1/2- to 2-inch balls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees until cookies begin to turn a golden color. Remove from the over and let cool. I like to remove them just before they are cooked through so the cookies are still a little soft and gooey in the center.
