Chip And Cheese Scallops

Ingredients
  Scallops 1 Pound (Fresh / Frozen)
  Finely chopped onion 1 Tablespoon
  Margarine/Butter 3 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 3 Tablespoon
  Pepper 18 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Canned chopped mushrooms 3 Ounce
  Grated parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped canned pimiento 2 Tablespoon
  Snipped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Shredded sharp american cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Crushed potato chips 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

Thaw frozen scallops; rinse.
Cover scallops with cold water.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes.
Drain, reserving 1 cup liquid.
Slice scallops about 1/4 inch thick.
Cook onion in margarine till tender.
Blend in flour and pepper.
Add reserved cooking liquid and milk.
Cook and stir till thickened.
Remove from heat.
Stir in next 4 ingredients and scallops.
Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole; sprinkle with shredded cheese and top with potato chips.
Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
