Cantonese Shrimp And Beans
|Frozen raw peeled deveined shrimp||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Chicken stock base||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Thinly sliced green onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Salad oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Frozen cut green beans||9 Ounce, thawed (1 Package)|
|Cold water||1 Tablespoon|
Thaw frozen shrimp.
Dissolve chicken-stock base in boiling water.
Cook onion, garlic, and shrimp in oil 3 minutes; stir frequently.
If necessary, add a little broth to prevent sticking.
Stir in salt, ginger, pepper, beans, and broth; cover.
Simmer 5 to 7 minutes, until beans are cooked but still slightly crisp.
Combine cornstarch and water.
Add to shrimp; cook until thick and clear, stirring constantly.
