Sweet And Sour Sauce
|Water/Chicken stock||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar/Honey||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon||1 , juiced|
|Scallions||2 , minced|
|Catsup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry sherry||2 Tablespoon|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Cold water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine water, brown sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, scallions, catsup, sherry and soy sauce in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Combine cornstarch with water.
Add to sauce and stir until liquid clears and thickens.
Store covered in refrigerator.
Serve with poultry, pork, fish or vegetables.
