|Roasting chicken||5 Pound|
|Celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), cut in 1 inch lengths|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water chestnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), halved|
|Slivered almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Snow peas||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
A cup of brown cooked rice may also be added to above.
Rub the chicken with olive oil mixed with soy sauce and molasses.
Roast in a 300 Â° to 325 Â° oven, 30 minutes to the pound, or until chicken is tender.
Serve with rice and soy sauce.
Wild rice is also delicious.
Sliced pineapple, fresh or canned with a dab of whipped cream or ice cream makes a nice dessert.
