Chinese Egg

Ingredients
  Hard cooked eggs 12
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Orange pekoe tea 3 Tablespoon
  Anise seed 1 Teaspoon
  Soy sauce 4 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
Directions

Shell eggs carefully so whites are not broken.
Pour boiling water over tea; let steep for 5 minutes.
Strain; combine with anise seed, soy sauce and salt.
Add whole eggs; simmer for 1 hour.
Store, covered, in refrigerator.
