Chow Mein Casserole
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped celery||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Instant minced onion||3 Tablespoon|
|Converted rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), uncooked|
|Condensed chicken with rice soup||10 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Canned mushroom stems and pieces||4 Ounce, drained|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||1 Tablespoon|
Cook and stir meat, celery and onion until meat is brown.
(To serve immediately, see be low.) Spoon off fat.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Pour into greased 2-quart casserole.
Cover and refrigerate.
1 1/2 hours before serving, stir 1 1/4 cups boiling water into casserole.
Cover tightly; bake in 350Â° oven 30 minutes.
Stir casserole; bake uncovered 50 minutes.
To Serve Immediately: While browning meat, pour 1 1/4 cups boiling water on rice and salt in greased 2 quart casserole and cover.
Stir meat mixture into rice; bake covered in 350Â° oven 30 minutes.
Stir casserole; bake uncovered 30 minutes.
