Chinese Almond Muffins

Yummy Chinese Almond Muffins are super delicious. My children love having these Chinese Almond Muffins and so do I. At home we don’t need occasions or excuses to make these well loved muffins. Try the Chinese Almond Muffins for yourself!
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Tablespoon
  Almonds 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), sliced
  Egg 1
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Almond extract 2 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted
  Whole almonds 12 (For Garnish)

Whisk together all the dry ingredients.
Stir in almonds.
In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, almond extract and melted butter.
Make a well in the dry ingredients and add liquid ingredients, mixing quickly.
Batter will be lumpy.
Spoon into greased muffin cups three-fourths full.
Top each muffin with one whole almond.
Bake until brown and tester comes out clean.
Bake at 375 degrees 20-25 minutes
