Chinese Millet Casserole
|Ground sausage||1 Pound|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped|
|Celery and leaves||1 Bunch (100 gm), chopped|
|Millet||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chicken noodle soup||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Boiling water||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Slivered almonds||4 Ounce|
Fry sausage over mediumhigh heat until browned.
Transfer to a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Drain all but 2 to 3 tablespoons of fat from skillet.
Saute onion and celery.
Add millet, and brown lightly.
Pour vegetables and millet over sausage.
Combine soup and water in skillet.
Pour over meat, vegetables, and millet.
Stir to combine.
Sprinkle slivered almonds on top.
Bake in a 350Â° F. oven for 45 minutes.
