Ellie's Chinese Stew (Round Steak Orientate)
|Round steak||2 Pound|
|Canned onion soup||10 1⁄2 Ounce (Liquid)|
|Water||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Soy sauce||2 Teaspoon|
|Dehydrated green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned water chestnuts||6 Ounce, sliced|
Cut steak In strips 3/4 inch wide and coat with flour.
Salt and pepper lightly.
Brown in oil.
Add soup, water and soy sauce.
Cover and simmer for about 1 hour, or until tender, adding water as necessary
Add green pepper and water chestnuts during last 5 minutes of cooking.
