Chinese Red Sauce

Ingredients
  Tomato sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Crushed garlic 2 Teaspoon
  Grated ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Chili sauce 3 Teaspoon
  Vinegar/Cider vinegar 2 Tablespoon (Chinese)
  Sugar 3 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Salt 2 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon, ground
  Cornflour 4 Teaspoon, mixed with 1/2 cup water
  Cold water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (For Cornflour)
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Heat oil in a pan.
Stir fry ginger and garlic on a low heat until it begins to change colour.
Add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, sugar, water and vinegar.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to the boil.
Stir well.
Add cornflour mixture, salt, and pepper.
Stir well until thickened.
Use this sauce for fried chicken, fish or lobsters and vegetables.
Serve hot with boiled rice.
