Mow Flower Twists

Mow Flower Twists are an easy to make sweet dish. I have a sweet tooth and this dish is one of my favorites! Try this Mow Flower Twists recipe and you will understand why.
Ingredients
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ground almonds 3 Tablespoon
  Egg 1
  Almond essence 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
  Icing sugar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Sift the flour into a bowl and rub in the margarine or butter with the fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Stir in the sugar and ground almonds.
Add the egg and essence and knead very well to make a pliable dough, adding a little water if necessary.
Roll the dough into a sausage about 1 inch in diameter and cut off 1 inch lengths.
Roll each piece into a ribbon about 9-10 inches long, fold in half and twist twice.
Take the ends of the ribbon back to the fold and push through the loop.
Fry these twists in deep hot oil and cook until golden.
Drain well; sprinkle with icing sugar and serve cold.
