Chinese Fried Pork Balls
|Minced pork||1 Pound|
|Ground ginger||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Dry sherry||1 Teaspoon|
|Peanut oil||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sweet and sour sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Mix together minced pork, ginger, cornflour, sherry, salt and pepper until well blended.
With moistened hands, shape into balls the size of a large walnut.
Place oil in an electric deep fryer or a deep frying pan and heat oil well, but just enough so that when balls are dropped in they cook gently, though the oil bubbles.
Fry pork balls until browned, lift out and drain.
Just before serving fry again (this time oil can be a little hotter).
Serve with Sweet and Sour Sauce.
