Chinese Cabbage With Tomatoes

Ingredients
  Shredded chinese cabbage 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Boiling salted water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Onion 1 Small
  Bay leaf 1⁄2
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Marjoram 1 Pinch
Directions

Parboil cabbage 5 minutes, and drain.
Combine tomatoes with onion, sugar and seasonings.
Pour over cabbage, and cook slowly, covered, until cabbage is tender, 15—20 minutes.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
