Chinese Chicken Livers

Ingredients
  Tamari soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Honey 1 Teaspoon
  Chicken livers 1 Pound
  Oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ginger root slice 1 , finely chopped
  Garlic slices 1 , finely chopped
  Snow peas 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Bamboo shoots 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Water chestnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced
  Mushrooms 4 Large, sliced
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Slivered almonds 2 Tablespoon (For Garnish)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Prepare the ingredients.

MAKING
2) In a small bowl, make a paste by combining tamari, cornstarch, and honey.
3) In a wok or heavy skillet, heat oil and saute chicken livers for about 5 minutes.
4) Remove chicken livers and set aside.
5) In the same pan, saute ginger and garlic until golden brown.
6) Then add snow peas, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and mushrooms.
7) Let them cook 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
8) Stir in lemon juice and the paste mixture.
9) Then add livers and cook over medium heat until sauce thickens.

SERVING
10) Serve over brown rice and garnish with slivered almonds.
