Chinese Spare Ribs
|Pork spare ribs||2 Pound|
|Tomato ketchup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Clear honey||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Wine vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Tomato puree||1 Tablespoon|
|Sherry||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1)Carefully trim any excess fat from the ribs and neatly cut down the ribs into pieces.
2)Take a bowl,mix the rest of the ingredients well, and marinate the pork ribs for at least 6 hours or overnight. Use a polythene bag for the same.Shake occasionally.
3)Take a roasting tin and put the ribs alongwith the marinade.
4)Now cook in a moderately hot oven for upto 1 hour.(200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6)
5)Now drain off the liquid and leave the ribs to cook till crsip.
6)Clean off the fat from the cooking liquid and boil on a high heat.Cook till reduced to syrup.
7)Place the spare ribs in serving dish and pour the sauce over them.
