Chicken Orange Amandine
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Crisco||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange marmalade||12 Ounce (1 Jar)|
|Almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), slivered|
1 Preheat the oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
2 In a plastic or paper bag, combine flour, salt, and pepper
3 Add in chicken pieces, a few at a time.
4 Shake well to coat evenly.
5 In a large skillet, heat Crisco.
6 Add in chicken and brown on all sides.
7 Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix orange marmalade, ginger, and water.
8 In shallow baking dish, place browned chicken and pour orange mixture over the top.
9 Sprinkle with nuts.
10 Bake for 1 hour or until chicken is tender, basting occasionally with sauce.
11 Serve hot.
