Prawn Shrimp Chop Suey
|Vegetable oil||30 Milliliter (2 tablespoons)|
|Spring onions||5 , trimmed and sliced|
|Fresh root ginger piece||1 Small, peeled and chopped|
|Garlic clove||1 Small, peeled and crushed|
|Peeled prawns||4 Ounce (100 gram)|
|Chicken stock||75 Milliliter (5 tablespoons)|
|Soy sauce||22 1⁄2 Milliliter (1 1/2 tablespoons)|
|Honey||15 Milliliter (1 tablespoon)|
|Dry sherry||15 Milliliter (1 tablespoon)|
|Tomato ketchup||15 Milliliter (1 tablespoon)|
|Bean sprouts||1⁄2 Pound (225 gram)|
|Vegetable oil||15 Milliliter (1 tablespoon)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
1.In a pan, heat the oil and saute onions in it for a minute.
2.Put ginger, garlic and prawns to it and stir for 2 minutes.
3.Combine stock with cornflor and add to the pan along with soy sauce, honey, sherry and tomato ketchup.
4.Saute for 2 more minutes.
5.Serve warm on an omelet along with bean sprouts.
The dish can be frozen and served after thawing for 4 hours at room temperature and reheating.
