Pork With Mandarin Oranges

Ingredients
  Lean pork 2 Pound, cut in 1-inch cubes
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soy sauce 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
  Sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Cider vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Syrup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (From Mandarin Oranges)
  Canned mandarin oranges 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

Put pork, water, salt, soy sauce and garlic in saucepan and bring to boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer 50 minutes.
Discard garlic.
Drain cubes, reserving broth.
In saucepan, blend sugar and next 3 ingredients until smooth.
Blend in meat stock and cook, stirring, until sauce is thick and transparent.
Add pork and oranges and serve hot.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
