Hamburger Chop Suey

Ingredients
  Celery stalks 3 Large
  Onion 1 Medium
  Oil 3 Tablespoon
  Ground beef 1 Pound
  Beef bouillon cube 1
  Boiling water 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Water chestnuts 1 Can (10 oz)
  Cornstarch 2 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Cold water 2 Tablespoon
  Bean sprouts/Chop suey vegetables 8 Ounce (1 Package)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Wash the celery and thinly slice.
2) Finely chop the onions.

MAKING
3) In a heavy skillet, add oil and cook onions and beef over high heat. Keep on stirring the mixture to prevent the meat from browning.
4) Fold in celery and bouillon cube.
5) Pour in boiling water and dissolve the bouillon cubes.
6) Tightly cover with a lid and cook for another 5 minutes.
7) Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine cornstarch, brown sugar, pepper, soy sauce and cold water.
8) Prepare a smooth paste and add to meat mixture. Combine all together by stirring thoroughly.
9) Fold in bean sprouts or vegetables and water chestnuts.
10) Place over heat to warm the preparation.

SERVING
11) Serve with steamed rice and more soy sauce, if you wish.
