Steak Chop Suey

Ingredients
  Steak 8 Ounce (200 Gram)
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
  Onion 1 , sliced
  Carrot 1 Large, scraped and sliced
  Ginger piece 1 Small, thinly sliced (Preserved)
  White cabbage 8 Ounce, sliced (220 Gram)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Water 1⁄4 Pint (125 Milliliter)
  Cornflour 2 Teaspoon
  Soya sauce 1 Teaspoon
For marinade
  Oil 1 Tablespoon
  Soya sauce 2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

GETTING READY
1) In a bowl blend in all the ingredients for marinade.
2) Make thin slices of the steak and soak in marinade for 5 minutes.

MAKING
3) In a heavy frying-pan heat 1 tablespoon oil.
4) Fry onion and carrot stirring for a minute.
5) Drain the vegetables and keep aside.
6) Fry ginger and cabbage in oil for 2 minutes.
7) Add onion and carrot and stir in sugar and salt.
8) Keep the mixture aside.
9) Heat 2 teaspoons oil and fry steak slices for 2 minutes.
10) In a small bowl mix water, cornflour and soya sauce and add on the steaks.
11) Stir and simmer until thick.
12) Mix vegetable to steak and sauce.

SERVING
13) Serve hot.

TIPS
Keep in a tight container and freeze. To serve, heat 2 tablespoons water and cook covered sitting gently.
