Chinese Beef Burgers

For beef patties
  Dried black mushrooms 4
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Onion 1⁄2 Small, finely chopped
  Green bell pepper 1⁄2 Small, seeded and diced
  Chopped water chestnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Green onion 1 , thinly sliced
  Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Oyster flavored sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Chinese cilantro 1 Tablespoon (Chinese Parsley)
  Sesame oil 2 Teaspoon
  Minced fresh ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 2 Teaspoon
  Hamburger buns/Cooked rice / noodles 2 , split and toasted

Soak mushrooms in warm water to cover for 30 minutes; drain.
Cut off and discard stems and chop caps.
Combine mushrooms and remaining patty ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well.
Divide mixture into 4 patties, each about 4 inches in diameter.
Place a heavy skillet over high heat until hot.
Add vegetable oil, swirling to coat surface.
Add patties and cook for 3 minutes on each side for medium rare.
Serve patties in buns, or serve alongside rice or noodles.
