Chinese Beef Burgers

|Dried black mushrooms||4|
|Lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Onion||1⁄2 Small, finely chopped|
|Green bell pepper||1⁄2 Small, seeded and diced|
|Chopped water chestnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Green onion||1 , thinly sliced|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Oyster flavored sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Chinese cilantro||1 Tablespoon (Chinese Parsley)|
|Sesame oil||2 Teaspoon|
|Minced fresh ginger||1 Teaspoon|
|Black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Vegetable oil||2 Teaspoon|
|Hamburger buns/Cooked rice / noodles||2 , split and toasted|
Soak mushrooms in warm water to cover for 30 minutes; drain.
Cut off and discard stems and chop caps.
Combine mushrooms and remaining patty ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well.
Divide mixture into 4 patties, each about 4 inches in diameter.
Place a heavy skillet over high heat until hot.
Add vegetable oil, swirling to coat surface.
Add patties and cook for 3 minutes on each side for medium rare.
Serve patties in buns, or serve alongside rice or noodles.
