Mock Chop Suey

  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped celery 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ground beef 1 Pound
  Uncooked brown rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Canned cream of mushroom soup 1 Can (10 oz) (1 can)
  Canned cream of chicken soup 1 Can (10 oz) (1 can)
  Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Bean sprouts 2 Cup (32 tbs) (canned sprouts can be used)
  Canned water chestnuts 8 Ounce, drained and sliced (optional, 1 can)
  Canned chow mein noodles 3 Ounce (1 can)
  Frozen peas 10 Ounce (1 package)

Preheat oven to 350°.
In vegetable oil in a large frying pan, saute' onion and celery for 5 minutes.
Add ground beef and brown well.
Stir in rice and cook until transparent.
Finally, stir in soups, soy sauce, bean sprouts, and water chestnuts.
Bake in a large casserole, uncovered for 30 minutes.
Stir in 1/3 can chow mein noodles and frozen peas.
Bake 30 more minutes or until rice isjusttender; sprinkle remaining noodles on top and bake 10 minutes more.
