Cantonese Roast Pork (Cha Shao)

Ingredients
  Pork shoulder 1 Pound (500 gram)
For marinade
  Sherry 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Hoisin sauce 1 Tablespoon
For glazing syrup
  Clear honey 2 Teaspoon
  Boiling water 2 Teaspoon
  Sesame oil 2 Teaspoon
Directions

Cut the meat into long strips 6 cm (2 in) in width.
Marinate for 2 hours.
Place the pork on a rack over a roasting tin in an oven pre-heated to 210°C, 425°F/Gas 7.
Roast for 20 minutes, turn and cook for another 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and glaze with the sugar syrup while still hot.
Serve cold, sliced.
