Homemade Pearl Balls

Ingredients
  Glutinous rice 2 Tablespoon
  Minced pork 6 Ounce (180 Gram)
  Sesame oil 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Water chestnuts 8 , chopped
  Dried shrimps 2 Teaspoon, soaked and chopped
  Ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon, grated
  Onion 1 Teaspoon, chopped
  Cornflour 3 Teaspoon
  Carrot 1⁄2 , shredded
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Rinse the rice until the water is clear.
Cover with fresh cold water and soak for 1 hour; drain well.
Beat the pork vigorously with the sesame oil, salt and pepper for 5 minutes.
Add the water chestnuts, shrimps, ginger and cornflour to the pork and mix well.
Divide into twelve and form each portion into a firm ball.
Roll in the rice until well coated.
Place on a plate allowing 1 cm (1/2 in) between each ball, and steam for 30 minutes over a high heat.
Serve garnished with carrot and parsley.
