Sweet And Sour Sauce For Beginners

Ingredients
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Canned crushed pineapple in heavy syrup 8 1⁄4 Ounce, drained and syrup reserved (1 Can)
  Brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Cider vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Set Power Select at HIGH.
In 2-cup glass measure, add enough water to reserved syrup to equal 3/4 cup; stir in pineapple, brown sugar and soy sauce.
Heat 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, stirring once.
Stir in cornstarch blended with vinegar; heat 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened, stirring once.
