Barbecued Spareribs Chinese Style

Ingredients
  Spareribs 4 Pound
  Soy sauce 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dry sherry 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dark brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), crushed
Directions

Preheat the oven to 350° F. [180° C.].
Arrange the ribs in a large roasting pan.
Combine all of the other ingredients, stir well and pour this marinade over the ribs.
Cover the pan with foil.
Bake for 45 minutes, turning the ribs once or twice.
Take the ribs from the pan and save the marinade for basting.
Set the barbecue grill as high above the bed of coals as possible.
When the coals are gray, arrange the ribs on the grill.
Cook them for 20 to 30 minutes until the meat is browned and tender, turning and basting frequently with the soy marinade so they won't dry.
