Pineapple Sweet And Sour Sauce
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Canned crushed pineapple in heavy syrup||8 1⁄4 Ounce, drained (Reserve Syrup, 1 Can)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In 2-cup glass measure, add enough water to reserved syrup to equal 3/4 cup; stir in pineapple, brown sugar and soy sauce.
Heat at high2 to 2 1/2 minutes; stir once.
Stir in cornstarch blended with vinegar.
Heat at high2 to 2 1/2 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thickened; stir once.
