Microwave Chow Mein
|Coarsely ground beef and pork chow mein meat||1 Pound|
|Onions||2 Small, chopped|
|Celery stalks||3 , chopped|
|Green pepper||1⁄2 Medium, chopped|
|Mushroom stems and pieces||4 Ounce, undrained (1 Can)|
|Bean sprouts||16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Soy sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dark molasses||1 Tablespoon|
|Chow mein noodles||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Place meat in 3-quart glass 1 casserole. Cover with glass lid.
2. Microwave for 10 minutes on HIGH. Stir in onion, celery and green pepper. Drain liquid from mushrooms into small bowl; set aside. Stir mushrooms and bean sprouts into meat mixture. Combine remaining ingredients, except noodles, with drained mushroom liquid in small bowl until smooth; pour over meat; recover.
3. Microwave for 15 to 20 minutes on MEDIUM (Simmer), or until meat is fork tender. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving. Serve over chow mein noodles.
